Client Our client is a global med-tech company and a leading supplier of innovative high tech and medical products. The company is active in the fields of healthcare and IT providing vision care products as well as key components for semiconductor devices, LCD panels and hard disk drives. The company employs nearly 35,000 employees in more than 150 subsidiaries and affiliates across the globe with revenues exceeding $4B. Within the vision care division the company is the number two in the global eyeglass lenses market currently servicing over 64,000 customers in more than 52 markets. In the EMEA markets the company has a headcount of around 1,800 people.

Role Description

The Marketing Director EMEA will be responsible for the whole range of marketing activities across all markets in EMEA in a matrix structure and works closely with country organizations. As member of the EMEA Management Team, the Marketing Director EMEA is expected to bring in strategic vision, seniority, charisma, impact and persuasive skills, whilst remaining hands-on and down-to-earth. The position will directly lead a group of 10+ people, and reports into the regional CEO.

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.
  • At least 10 years of progressive work experience, of which at least 3-5 years in a multi-country marketing position in a medium to large multinational.
  • Experience in B2B marketing aligning with B2B2C initiatives. Only B2C experience will not be sufficient.
  • Expertise in medical goods and/or related industries, including pharma, is required.
  • Wide knowledge of the full marketing mix.
  • Strong marketing leader with proven experience in developing and successfully implementing regional marketing programmes.
  • Proven track record of change management within complex organizations.
  • Experience of working across multiple geographies allowing for an understanding of the different needs of different markets.
  • Leadership experience with commitment to the professional development of staff; experience in recruiting and retaining a diverse team.
